Shamu & You Family Walk 
at SeaWorld

Walk starts at 7:30am - please plan on arriving at the SeaWorld parking lot no later than 6:45am.

Shamu & You Family Walk is a fund-raiser put on by Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego at SeaWorld.  All donations raised will benefit Rady Children's Hospital.  Team BRICK (Brain Research In Cancer Kids) has designated the Brain Tumor Research fund to receive all of its team member donations.

Last year's walk was fabulous.  We strolled through SeaWorld and saw many animals out with their handlers.  The main part of the walk is a one mile loop through SeaWorld bringing you back to the Start/Finish line.  For those who wish, you can continue walking along Mission Bay for 3 more miles - finishing back at the Start/Finish line.  The entire 4 miles is wheelchair/stroller friendly.  At the Start/Finish line after the walk there are many booths with free food and give-aways.  It's a fun morning.

How can I get involved?

We are encouraging everyone to register as a walker on the team.  100% of the registration fees go to the Brain Tumor Research fund.  If you can't attend the event, then you can sign up as a "virtual walker".  All registered walkers can then go out and get sponsors - thus increasing the total raised for Team BRICK and Brain Tumor Research.  The challenge is for each walker to ask 10 people to sponsor them at $10 each.  There are prizes to be earned for those who raise certain dollar amounts.

If you would like to support our Team BRICK, but do not want to register as a walker, then you can still sponsor someone else who is a walker on the team.  - Instructions below.

BRICK has pledged to raise $30,000 by 2016 and recruiting walkers and sponsors for our team is one of our funding sources.

How To Join or Support our team

Click the button below and the BRICK team website will open.  To join our team, click "Join Our Team" link below the heading and go through the steps to register.  Each participant needs to register (and pay) separately.  To support a walker on the BRICK team, you can select a name from the list of team members and their Personal Fundraising Page will come up with a place to enter your donation.  During the process you can choose to display your name and/or amount or remain anonymous on the website display.

Child Registration - ages 3 & under
$10 - Early Bird registration until 7/31/13
$10 - Standard registration - 8/1/13 to 10/2/13 
$10 - On Walk Day arrive at 6:30am to register

Junior Registration - ages 4 - 13

NOTE:  Kite Club is not a fundraising level, but rather a registration option that includes walk entry plus other special benefits. Kite Club members must select "Kite Club" and pay the applicable $250 registration fee at the point of registration.
